Remind App

"I hope that answers your question. I love Remind!

The Remind app operates like text messaging; on the phone, messages look like a regular text thread (without disclosing real phone numbers), and users are alerted with a sound like a text message. I like that you don't have to open the app/program to be alerted that you have a message. I have all of my messages go to my email as well.

With Remind, I can send a message as an announcement that goes out to the audience I choose (students and parents, students only, or parents only, etc.). I can also send individual messages or messages to a group I create.

I also love the translation feature on the Remind app.

I can attach documents, pictures, flipgrid links, google drive items, etc., and I can also record and send voice clips through Remind.

During distance learning, I used Remind along with Schoology updates to post daily tasks for students and parents.

One difficulty with the free version of Remind is you can only use 140 characters to send announcements. I worked around this by screenshotting my Schoology updates and sent as an image attachment via Remind. "    - John Muir Middle School Teacher
